Open Access Portal Help 

Welcome to the Open Access portal!

You can now access information or transact business via the Open Access portal website.

• A portal is a centralized point for accessing information, tools and other resources on the Internet. The portal provides a ‘desktop’ view of tools (or portlets) and information which allows you to manage work or transact business with Natural England or other organisations involved in the administration of Open Access
• A portlet is a tool which operates within the portal environment. In the context of this system it is a user controllable window within the web page.

Portlets follow standard Windows functionality, in that you can minimise, restore and maximise them. Consequently, each portlet has the following icons:

Click on this icon to minimise the size of the portlet:
Click on this icon to restore the portlet to its original size:
Click on this icon to maximise the size of the portlet:

Note: You cannot drag the portlet to a new position within the portal window.
